monday.com, known as “dapulse” until 2017, is the king of project management tools. It has topped our list of best project management software for years now, largely due to its easy-to-use UI and great support. It also offers a variety of plans, each with different pricing and features.

In this article, we’ll drill down into the cost per month for your teams, as well as the perks of each plan. We’ll even show you the monday.com sweet spot, where you get the most value for the least amount of money.

Pricing: How Much Does monday.com Cost?

Like a lot of other project management software, monday.com charges organizations a monthly price for each team member. The more team members you have, the higher your cost.

Basic: Unlimited users, forms, mobile apps$10.00/user/month
Standard: Timeline & calendar view, integrations, automations, guest accounts, advanced search, 24/7 customer support$12.00/user/month
Pro: Chart & time tracking view, private boards, formula column, unlimited guests$20.00/user/month
Enterprise: Audit log, advanced account permissions, session management, HIPAA complianceContact monday.com

The Basic plan offers only the bare bones of project management. However, if you don’t need anything fancy, its price of $10 per user per month could be worth it. The Standard and Pro plans offer an increasing number of features and file storage, though.

The Standard tier comes in at $12 per user per month and includes integrations for monday.com, which is on par with competitors, such as Asana (check out our Asana review). The Pro tier is a bit more expensive at $20 per user per month. To use the Enterprise tier, contact monday.com for pricing details.

monday.com Free Trial

If you’re interested in checking out monday.com’s premium features, it offers a 14-day free trial of the Pro tier. This is a great way to figure out if this tool is what you need for your teams.

Project Management Value: Pricing vs Features

Each tier offers an increasing number of features to meet your use cases. If your team needs a more simple plan for a quick project, you may be interested in monday.com’s Basic tier.

The Basic tier has bare-bones features. You can create a project and add tasks to it, but that’s about it. It does offer a limited amount of cloud storage, but with only 5GB of space, you will most likely have to find alternative cloud storage.

It’s a nice touch that every plan includes both iOS and Android apps. On-the-go project and team management is a great perk for teams using monday.com.

The monday.com Standard plan offers most of the features you’d want from a project management tool. The timeline view — similar to a Gantt chart — and the calendar views can both be very helpful. Read our monday.com beginner’s guide for more details on how to use them.

Pro and Enterprise Pricing

In addition to the Pro tier’s extra features, it also offers unlimited file storage. If your team uses a lot of files or needs features such as unlimited guests, then Pro is a good option.

The monday.com Enterprise tier is a great choice for larger businesses with more complex use cases. This includes advanced team management tools and improved permissions. This plan is priced individually, depending on your needs.

Which monday.com Plan Should I Get?

Choosing a plan depends on your use case. For example, if you need to track time, you’ll need the Pro tier. For average teams, though, we recommend the Standard tier. Its price is reasonable, and you have access to the most important tools.

Final Thoughts: Is monday.com Any Good?

There’s a reason why monday.com is one of our favorite project management tools. It has a wide feature set and reasonable prices, plus you take advantage of the 14-day trial.

If you’re still not convinced, check out our best free project management list for some more options. There are also competitors that price their plans entirely differently. For example, Basecamp charges a flat $99 each month for your team (check out our Basecamp review).
